I dated a guy for 15 1/2 years, and we never married. I dated my fiance for a year and a half before we got engaged and we'll be married 13 months after that. Guy number 1 just wasn't quite right for me, while guy number 2 is perfect!

I dated a guy my entire highschool years and half of college, so about five years. It was hard to break that one off because we really did care about each other, but I knew there were better suited partners out there for marriage. He found his wife and I found my husband and we are much happier with our current spouses. I am still friends with my ex though, we had quite a lot of experiences together and I wish him well.

Since gay marriages are not legal here...I know a Gay couple who have been together over 50 years who aren't married...
