maybe it means he feels his sexual orientation is nit necessary in respect to his online adventures. He could be Bi, or Gay, or straight but feels it inst anyones business because his friends are his friends because of who he is, not his sexual preference

I think the best way to find out is to ask, then judge from his answer or non-answer. If you can't make yourself ask, perhaps that's a sign he's not that close a friend and it is none of your business? Or you don't want to ask because you suspect he is gay or bi, but don't want to hear him say that?

I agree many feel that question is irrelevant, so they won't answer it. BUT I am not involved in MySpace, so whether answering NA has any meaning or not, I can't say.

I do think it's best to go to the source. If you wonder, so will others.

No, it doesn't mean anything. A lot of people leave that information out because they are too lazy to fill every field out. I know some teacher friends who don't fill it out (whether they are gay, straight or bi) because if a student stumbles upon their page, they don't want them to think of their teachers as having a sexuality at all.

Not to mention, it's totally none of your business anyway unless they've asked you out.

He probably is gay or bi. Haha although I agree with Sam, he might be looking to get hit on by more people.. :)

Absolutely not. Perhaps they're questioning their orientation. Maybe they forgot to? Or maybe they don't want the world knowing their feelings.

It pure and simply means that they do not feel the question is necessary to answer, non applicable. Your reading far too much into this...

it means that they don't feel like answering the question and/or feel that people don't need to know bkus its none of their business if they are straight/gay/bi/whatever..or they may not know what they are themselves.

it means nothing-the guy preferred (for reasons best known to himself) to decline to state his orientation-sometimes i decline to declare my nationality (where the question is optional) that doesn't make me anything other than english.

nope - it could just as well mean you are straight or asexual or confused or still working it out for yourself. Or it could mean tha tunless we are dating, it is none of your business...
