how does facebook work?

Basically facebook aka crackbook aka Stalkbook and the list goes. Facebook is now worth 2 billion!!!! I am a daily users of facebook and it is a big social networking website with your own page and you can find friends,family and co-workers even random people you have met some where or any where in the world!!!!!
You just type In a Persons frist and last name and you can find people easily
You can also create your own groups on this website
such as "I went to Peace bay high school in 1998"..you will find some pretty funny groups i will tell you!
People can tag you in photos from High school....or some where random
You should join and just browse the site before you add people as your friend, and a tip as well is that you add friends from your email address book it automatically adds them

Well, it's a social networking site that puts an emphasis on communicating friends rather than making friends. It has many applications to use, so it doesn't get monotonous and boring. I think it is best to have both a facebook and a myspace... they have different purposes.

Facebook is just like myspace. Facebook i hear is more for hackers though.
And if you assume when i say the word hacker that it means some one who can steal files and such then ignore this awnser.

its like my space...but more sophisticated like, lest razzle dazzle pages...and a lot more Canadians on it, its tad different as far as how the account is set up and the page, but similar concept!

its for college students mostly....like myspace but focused on students who connect and communicate from university to university.

its a place for people to chat, where they have their own profiles and what not, its a lot like myspace.
