...then says that it can be cut in half or even more. How long is your probation. I have served more than 50% of the five years.. I have been compliant. I am in good with the court. My PO filed for the early termination. What can go wrong?

It is totally up to the judge to decide whether he/she believes that you deserve to be let off early. Depends on the crime as well as your behaviour.

If your PO filed for early termination then you stand a 99.9% chance of getting early termination. Probation is actually an arm of the court and the courts will follow the recommendation of the probation office and officer. Your PO is the person that has had the most contact with you and knows you better than the judge so when your PO files an early termination request it tells the judge that your PO believes in you and that you have met all the conditions of probation and deserve an early release.

Good luck to you.... and keep/stay out of trouble.

Nothing. You just have to hope for a judge that is not upset that day. If the prosecuting judge said the possibility of ½ of parole rescinded, then of course it is possible. Assuming that there have been no additional charges since you sentencing, (even a misdemeanor) and your parole officer reports that there have been no signs of deception, and that you appear to be an upright standing citizen. If you sat in prison good or bad behavior reports may effect it as well. Good Luck.

Even if the Judge says your probation period will be reduced, it is still part of your record. So don't screw up or you might find yourself serving the remainder of the time which was probated plus the time for the second offense. It's all up to you, Baby!!

It will still be the judges call, he may be having a bad day and Deni you. Something else you need to do is make sure you are in-line (IE. working, have drivers license, no pending charges you know things like that)
