If you have already dried the shirt in a dryer, then the stain is set. It may get lighter with time, but it will never come out.
There is a good stain remover on the market that will remove ink as long as the shirt hasn't been in the dryer. It is made by "Happy Chef" which is a restaurant uniform supplier. I have used it and it works well.
Go to www.happychefuniforms.com. I think it costs about $5.75 per bottle.
Good Luck!!!

I'll give you two methods, if you are an artist I'm assuming its india ink. Ink-Pen Run cold water through stain until no more colour will come out. Rub in lemon juice and detergent, let stand 5 minutes. Launder with detergent. If a yellow stain remains, use a commercial rust remover as directed on the package. (Do not use rust remover in washer as it will harm the enamel, wash by hand) Ink: Ballpoint pen: Pour denatured alcohol through stain. Run in petroleum jelly. Sponge with non-flammable dry cleaning solvent. Soak in detergent solution. Launder with detergent and bleach safe for fabric. Rit colour remover might also work if nothing else does. It's used to lighten fabric before dying.

When the stain is fresh, and you have not already washed and dried the shirt hairspray will bring it out . . . Spray some on the ink, and wipe with tissue. Repeat as necessary.
Try it anyway . . . it may not work if you've dried it in the dryer. If all else fails send it to the cleaners.

INK stain on clothes = use hair spray and bar soap.....Spray ink spots wet with hairspray then rub with a bar soap, then spray wet again and rub the soap on again = for the big spots. then wash in cold water with your detergent. It doesn't matter if you've washed it before the hairspray and bar soap will get ink out.

I had a pen "explode" in my white shirt pocket. After going through our laundry a few times (we have a LaundryPure) it came out.
