No, not the "school of hard knocks," which in my experience teaches more along the lines of respect, honestly, truthfulness and attributes of the more positive characteristics. Most of the politicians we have today wouldn't know a "hard knock" if it bit them in the b*tt. The disorders to which you refer are more the product of malformed and bent personalities where character is void.

Actually, they come from a variety of private as well as public schools, this way they better represent the persons who vote for them. The newest concern in re to politics is the bi-partisan effort where each political stance became more friendly and associated with the other party.

For a politician, you have to be able to smile out one side of your mouth and lie from the other.

It's not their school that is much of a concern, but how much they can develop a policy and stick to it--something called integrity, it's been lost for a long time in re to politicians, time to get it back even just a little bit.

Too many come from Yale. Pres. Geo. W. Bush had a C minus average. I went to Northern Arizona University and University of Arizona. If I had held a C minus average at either, they would have kicked me out second semester. First semester I would have been on probation. Nothing like having someone sub standard running the country.

Not Hard Knocks, the School of Mass Approval.
Politicians learn early the heady power of mass approval. They want more of this recognition so they do whatever it takes to achieve that goal.
