What name will you suggest if they unite. I suggest India, because that was the original name.

Gandhiji was for one nation and I support him. Hindus-its various offshoots ie Sikhs, buddist, jains; Christians , Sikh and Muslims always lived together and still do. India is the only nation where jews have never been persecuted.
I think "INDIA" is a non sectarian name and should remain as a representative of its diverse people.

Probably not. Many Muslims dislike living in a country where they're the minority, as they would be in India. And some Muslim countries are intolerant of other religions, whereas India is pretty accepting and laid back on that issue. Furthermore, the two cultures aren't really that similar, although the people look alike and often speak very similar languages.

The reason for the partition in the first place, as I understand it, was that the Muslims in India wanted a country of their own (although there are still many Muslims in India), and in the intervening sixy years, the two have grown apart in many ways. Although India keeps electing members of the same family to its top positions, the key word there is "electing." India is the world's largest democracy. Pakistan, in contrast, has had one coup and dictator after another.

Yes, the role of the British Empire has left them something in common, including cricket, but although sports are often a way to establish more amicable relations between countries, I doubt that one would be enough to reunite two politcal entities with different outlooks and systems of government as one.

the culture is almost the same. the problem was only back then when muslims werent treated right. but now? idk...maybe times have changed and muslims r treated good now.

but they should stay seperate nations.

if they ever reunite..the name should be something diff. it shouldnt be india or pakistan..but something new.
