How do you beat "Blast away the wall in super mario bros 64 ds (in the whomps fortress?

what do you do to find the star?

ahh...super mario 64. i used to play that game all the time. very fun indeed. well to beat "blast away the wall" you do this. you know where you run across the falling bridge and there is a water fall? well fall and slide down the water fall. head away from the big gray wall until you find a little mushroom guy. (toad i believe his name is) and speak to him. he should open the cannon and you can climb in. climb in and aim at the top corners of the gray walls on either side of the water fall. once you have knocked both corners off you should see a star appear. climb back in the cannon and shoot your self at the star. hope i helped im fairly good at this game and if you need any more pointers just let me know.
