I recently heard that Obama admitted to smoking dope and doing other illegal drugs while speaking to students at a collage function.
If this is true, as a one time admitted dope smoker, does anyone think that if elected President Mr. Obama would perhaps be inclined to address the current drug laws in the US? Maybe some form of decriminalization. He apparently enjoyed himself quite a bit while in Hawaii.
I wonder if the other democratic hopefulls will exploit this admission while fighting for their parties nomination?

Atleast he didn't pull an Arnold, and deny it alltogether...

I presume most of today's candidates smoked MJ. That's not the issue.

The issue is that BO has zero qualifications to be president of the USA. He's a nice and smart guy but has never accomplished or managed anything in his life.. I'd like to see how he might look after serving two terms as Illinois governor or in another executive position.

It wouldn't matter to me if he partied, whored around, or dressed in drag, or what. He's a great guy.
It would be good if he'd address current laws. Maybe he'd have some luck in selling some of his fresh outlooks if people vote him in, AND NOT vote for more Republicans in Congress.

Well if Bush won't admit that he did more cocaine in college than John Belushi, why should Obama?

Don't the "family values" crowd have the right to know that Bush was a drunk at one time?

I don't know if it's true, but it shouldn't matter. Most of presidents probably have done bad things. I know Bush has. I know Clinton has. I'm sure there are plenty more.

to me, if anything, this means that he's willing to be honest to the public. He doesn't hide things from us and he's just show that he won't lie. We need an honest president. I think you're being biased against drug users, and not seeing every aspect of it.

i doubt he will focus on changing the laws. i think he sees the folly in doing drugs now and thinks it was a mistake and distracted him from what he should have been doing.

Anything you do, before your 26 birthday should be admissible, your brain hasn't completely formed yet. (Science)
