In the UK, it is a criminal offence to posses materials deemend to glorify terrorism. Rightly so you might say, but why then is it perfectly acceptable for mainstream "urban" artists to openly glorify murder, drug dealing and other such criminal activities?

okay lets talk about rap/././/For a long time RAP was banned. Then people came out and said it was racisest that rap was banned. And that it was only banned cause people was tryig to single out the black man. So with new laws supporting blacks. Rap ir not banned anymore. Even though RAP is mostly about killing rapeing and so on. Many people want to think it is about how ghetto life really is and blah blah blah. But if they look. The only reason "ghetto life" is the way it is is because these young kids are doing everything this rap music is telling them to do. Thinking it is cool. Which makes a curtain area worse then other which is otherwise called the ghetto. The world would be a better place without rap. Considering rap only talks mainly about terrorism.

They should not ban it because they would have to ban metal too, and that's what I listen to now. I used to smoke weed before I got put on intensive probation w/house arrest for six months prob. for a year or more, and when I did I really liked rap. When I was forced to quit, I had a dramatic change in my personality including my taste of music. But I've also become a whole lot more religious since I quit. Every time I hear rap it reminds me of all the blind (religiously dead/ignorant/dumb) out there. Anyone who listens to songs about sex, drugs, money, violence, is not religious if they believe it to be good music. Lots of metal is religious so....:)

What about heavy metal ?

Don't some of them pull heads off small animals?

Also, Heavy Metal promotes drug use and crimes.

I'm pretty sure that law was written to prosecute those whose hate speech encourages illegal acts.

Rap music that includes violent themes is not any more illegal than horror movies that include violent themes.

I don't know but I wish they would ban it. It also promotes racism, and female abuse.
