Today, I let my uncle drive my Hyundai tiburon around the block, just so I could see how he drove it. Well, he drove it a lot differently than I did and i want to find out how.

First of all, the car was making this real high pitched sound all the way up to fourth and was going much faster in the lower gears than it goes for me.

Please explain in detail if you know how to do this.

P.S.
I tried it a little. Dropping the clutch revving the car then easing up and pressing the gas.
It worked for 1 and second gears but at fourth i felt ZERO pull.

Again, all help is greatly appreciated.

This is a question about making the car go FASTER. I can drive manually perfectly fine.

first of all i want your clutch money.
when you shift do not completely let up on the gas pedal.
depress the clutch and quickly shift. This is called speed shifting and takes practice to do it correctly or ride with your uncle and see how he shifts

No two engine tranny combo's are alike and take some getting used to.

It sounds like you have either never driven a manual before or you are not letting off the gas before you step on the clutch pedal. It's a game of accelerate and decelerate every time you decide to shift up or down and that means no gas while shifting until it is firmly in the next gear. If you are doing it right you will see the tachometer drop when you step on the clutch pedal and then rise when you let up on the clutch pedal when you put in in the next higher gear.

If you shift at too low of an RPM (or speed) then this will bog down the motor and or stall it and you will not feel the get-up-and-go that you expect.

Good Luck!

UHH...P.S. You must like replacing you clutch alot because hitting the gas while the clutch is in wears out your clutch faster. Sounds like your uncle was taking the rpm's higher before shifting. At this rate, you car will be crap before christmas
