Hi there,
Good question. To me going China-free should not be just for keeping the money at home but to a large extent an absolute neccessity.Neccessity in the sense that one must spend ones money for something of value. Most of these China-made goods are of doubtful quality and their toys can even be a health hazzard to our kids.We all want our kids to remain healthy and if that entails keeping our money at home that makes it even better.
By all means, MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!!

Yep, that's the way it used to be all American Made, until our government closed the doors to European immigration (Made up of craftsman) and opened the doors to Asian immigration (Service sector). Taking away manufacturing and production in the U.S.A. was a big mistake. It didn't help my husband and guys who were in the manuf/prod. business. Later I started thinking what would happen America who just buy and buy cheap goods. American businesses couldn't compete with cheap labor and many companies folded up. I think that was in the 80's. Now we have products that cause harm to boot. I'm with you on all counts!
