I agree w/Joe. I have cars that i park for the winter and I've found that if I just park them and disconnect the battery, they start just fine in the spring. I've been using stable the past few years. I found that its best not to start them during the winter, mainly because if they don't start, then you've washed the cylinders down with gas. Now you've got to get it started to re-lubricate everything. I change oil and filter in the spring.

Six months or six years, no difference unless it is outside and chipmunks or bees made a nest in the air cleaner housing.

The only thing that you will typically observe is small oil leaks since the crankshaft will settle in the block and will not be "centered" and this stretches the low side of the oil seals and lets any residual oil leak out especially if this is an older engine and has a lot of wear and tear on it.

Always disconnect the battery when you park anything for a long time. This will prevent trickle discharge and make the battery last much longer as if sitting on the shelf in the store waiting to be purchased and installed.

Otherwise, you might want to add some Stabil to the gasoline before you decide to park it so the fuel will have been run through the lines and filters and injectors or carburetor. Or you could idle the car 'til it runs out of gas and then store it that way.

I have a Summer and Winter vehicle and may or may not start them once a month or go maybe three months. As long as you have a strong battery they will fire right up.

Good Luck!
