There is supposed to be a section right off I-85 in Norcross that has a clump of furniture close out stores. There's a Rooms To Go Close Out Store and I think Underpriced Furniture is supposed to be one. There are supposedly more. I've not shopped there before, but will be checking it out right after Thanksgiving. Was the furniture 1st quality? Good selection? Are prices worth a drive? Or do you know of any other good furniture close out stores in or around the Atlanta area?Any stories of experiences welcome.

Yes. They have good closeouts. Most of the majors have stuff the closeout over there. Im sure it's hit or miss as most of those places are.

Also take a look at huff st down over west of howell mill downtown. There's some good deals back there too. I cant remember the streetname, but I think it's off chattahooche. Huber or Ellsworth maybe?

It's a few miles north and west of ikea.

Storehouse had a great closeout place in buckhead, but since Storehouse closed up they plly liquidated.

Rooms to Go sucks too.

Try craigslist as well.

You get exactly what you pay for from stores like these... cheap furniture that won't hold up long.

I've purchased from Haverty's and from Rooms-To-Go and would not recommend Rooms. You'd be better off buying fewer pieces at a time, but better quality. And, if you are going to use their finance programs, always finish paying off your existing loan...never just add to it. If you ran into financial problems, the seller has the right to take back ALL your furniture, not just what you added.

Or, going to a very good neighborhood for an estate sale...a lot of times you'll get great furniture at bargain prices. You can't finance it, but you'll get some great values.

I agree. Ikea is very cheap, but also contemporary. Try Ashley Furniture for really nice but affordable things. Then Farmers Furniture is starting to open alot of stores on the south side. (Fayetteville, Union City - old Wal Mart plaza).
