Most small cap individual stocks are gambles... you might win, or you might lose 80% of your investment. Very difficult to say which is going to happen in advance.

I would lean towards investing the money in a Vanguard Target Retirement fund (with a date matched to your anticipated retirement age) -- or alternatively invest in a balanced low-expense-ratio mutual fund such as Vanguard Wellington.

Cordially,

Jamba Juice (JMBAW) is at .68 and has some relatively healthy fundamentals. If you're going for a risky stock with potential, that is the one I would recommend. Before you do, however, be sure to read over the fundamentals and do your research. But the sooner the better...as soon as markets open on monday.

Edit: Whoa whoa whoa while I was writing this someone suggested Etrade? I answered another question about that in the business section about 4 min ago, I suggest you read it over before thinking about ETFC. And its actually at 5.33 a share.

Check out Etrade. If you can get in around $4.00 a share you should be able to make some short term money.
The problem with micros is a lot of them also trade on the pink sheets. The reporting is not necessarily what you would like in a company that you are investing in.

Good luck.
