The check is not really held back, you are just 1 pay period behind. you get paid 1 more check upon termination.

Yes you just get you checks a week later, like you don't get a check week 1 but on week 2 you will get paid from week 1, week 3 you will get paid for week 2, When you leave you will have 1 more check for the last week you worked. I hoped that helped some and didn't complicate things more.

Yes, you get that $. It just means that you are paid 1 pay period behind what you worked. If you aren't issued the pay with your current pay, then when you quit, you should get 1 more pay period's worth of pay.
