Well... is it?

Mine vents a bit of steam out at the drying cycle, so if you don't smell smoke you'll probably live. Or pass out. But your family will remember that the last thing you did was thoughtfully take care of the dishes. Bless you.

seems that's the normal steam created by the hot air and water inside.
