It doesn't flash what I signal right or left but the lights remain on (not blinking). Hazards works properly. Anyone have any ideas?

I too had a 93 Chevy Cavalier (red) and my signals would remain on and not blink and I assumed it was an eletrical problem but I came to find out it was a blown fuse!! Check your fuse box and go from there!! Good Luck

Check your turn signals one at a time. Generally it can be 1 of 3 things:
1 A bad bulb-an element has burned out.
2. The flasher unit is bad-some vehicles are equipped with 2 flashers,1 is for the hazard warning lights and the other is for the turn signals. Some only 1 flasher does it all.
3. Bad or broken wire.
Most flashers are located under the dash on a panel with or near the fuse block. Most items are marked on the panel to help identify the item.
Start with the bulbs first,that is usually the most common problem and solution.

It's been a long time since I've had to replace one of these. The good thin is the it is a easy repair and cost only a few dollars. Your turn signal flasher needs replaced. It is a silver canister about the size of a 2 liter pop bottlecap. Very clear instructions can be found at the following address:

Also...The flasher is usually attached to the fuse box which is normally under the instrument cluster.

turn signal switch, check all the bulbs first, maybe loose.
