I'll be at work, so I won't have an opportunity to shop on Monday anyway.

Edit: I agree with The Voice of.......?
Clearly Chinese manufacturers either...

a) have ignored the standards and regulations of manufacturing goods sent to America.

Or

b) they don't care and will continue to poison our children with lead paints, etc.

Thank you!

Considering the highly paid corporate CEO's enjoy 'downsizing' employees (outsourcing) during the holiday. 'Buy Nothing Day' should be expanded to 'Buy Nothing At All', until Uncle Sam's corporate government respect its 100+ years citizens.

Corporate America can not survive without consumers (citizens) feeding the belly of the pig. Slowly more citizens are being replaced by illegal immigrants who will continue to feed the belly. Yet, most illegals eventually do prosper quite well (can't blame them!).

I'm in. All of the holidays are nothing more then shameless commerce, greed and hyperbole. Bah Humbug baby! Plus because the dollar is so low you wind up paying twice as much for any item you buy. So yes, boycott the whole process. In stead , just tell that special someone or people that you love them.

I will buy nothing for quite a few weeks. Gas is too high and I am worried about the winter bills. I just love being with family and eating a nice meal-parties, parties, and more parties.

No holiday shopping spree for me. Its really pretty sad holiday shopping is a tradition in America for the day after Thanksgiving..... buying for the sake of buying is always a bad idea.

It won't do a thing.

Even if there was a fairly high number of people participating, all that means is that people will buy a ton of stuff on Sunday and Tuesday.

I promise to buy as little as possible every day the Democrats are in power If poverty and misery is what they want, I will let them have their wish. After all, they are perfectly willing to take money from me by taxation of my employer.

Seems like a pretty week statement to me. I would think you would have chosen today, black Friday, to make such a stand. Of course, that would require commitment, and the desire to make an actual statement.
