I learned not to drink, because I became an alcoholic before I woke up and quit in 1998 & stayed sober ever since. Through all the drinking , I did a lot of lying , until no one would believe me. So, the hard way I learned that if you always tell the truth, you never have to change your story. Those are the two major things I learned the hard way.

My motto my entire life has been:

THERE MUST BE A HARDER WAY!

The most often learned lessons I've had to "learn the hard way" have been in the areas of personal relationships and gambling...possibly closely related subjects!
Sometimes ya get lucky, but mostly lose!

Yes, I always do and always have.
I learned (the HARD way) to not tell my parents I'm going to the movies with my friend but actually meet my boyfriend there. All during the worst snowstorm of the year when the movies is far away. Bad, BAD idea.

I'm not sure I learn my lesson, I tend to speak my mind and sometimes I say things that may not be agreed apon by others, sooo I guess I HAVEN'T learned how to keep my mouth shut before I stick my foot in.
Sure wish I could though!!

pretty much everything, thats how you learn things! unless you read it or learn in school.

how to ride a bike without training wheels, don't pick up kitty when she's sleeping (ouch) don't step on bees and ALMOST kill them, don't tell people that they have a unibrow even though they do, don't make friends with lairs or jerks, don't "dace like nobody is watching" at school :) or near any sharp or dangerous objects (like doorknobs) i have a lot more but it might take a while to type all of that ^.^

To follow rules. I've been through that many of times. I do something I'm not supposed to like running in a fun house at the carnival instead of walking. I left. Or setting on a prop bed at Macy's. Sometimes I think it's the employees...

I learn the hard way all the time.
My algebra class is different.
He gives the homework but its all due until the day of the next quiz.
Instead of the next day.
I find myself doing piles of algebra homework the night before the test.
And I mean PILES!

THINK before you INK!

Don't let some guy with a lazy eye give you a tattoo, no matter how good he says he is, and don't get a lizard tattoo on you unless you are absolutely sure you will have the same love for geckos in 7 years. Thank God for good cover up artists!
