Because,
technically he should have retired a couple of seasons ago;
he was horrible and his team was going no where.
Now he is the clearly one of the better, if not the best QB behind Tom Brady this season, leading the league in passing yards, and leading Green Bay to a 10-1 start! What's not love about seeing an old man come back and be one one of the top QBs in the league when a couple of years ago everyone thought he shoud retire!

I think it's mostly because of his devil-may-care, hell-bent attitude on the field. He's always out there laughing, slinging the ball around, and keeping fans on edge with anticipation. Even during the down years for the Packers, he was still among the most entertaining guys around.
I'm not a Packers fan, but I've got all the respect in the world for Favre. I know it sometimes seems like his fans go overboard in their praise, but if anyone has deserved those accolades, it's Favre.

Because he's proved to be a warrior and he's still an elite QB at 38 years old.
And this is hard to say as a Vikings fan.

It's because he's a winner. He plays with the love of a little kid. However, he gets too much attention. Give some credit to the rest of the team for crying out loud.
