What do you mean by "mishandling"? If it's the result of human fallibility and error, the bosses are understanding. If he's deliberately throwing it away, or worse, opening it, then he'll get canned.

It depends on how bad the mishandling was.
If he delivered the mail to the wrong address, well, every carrier has done that sometimes. Mistakes happen in every profession.
If the carrier stole the mail, he will be fired. Theft of mail by postal workers is a serious offense.
I once witnessed a postal clerk being escorted out by police, while other workers whispered to one another, "He stole a quarter out of a letter."

Not unless they ahve a history of reports, and not if you can't proove exactly who mishandled it. If you didn't see it, then you can accuse your mailman, it could have happened in the post office. next time pay the xtra and get the insurance. Just a thought, that way any damage is covered. Good luck

each time i've got first moved right into a sparkling place, the postal service has constantly left a form for me to sign and return interior the mail on the subject of what i might like carried out with outsized programs if i'm no longer recent on the time of transport. (in spite of the fact that consequently, it style of feels you're at domicile, a minimum of on the instances which you describe). i might communicate with the workplace to work out if it is coverage or some determination indicated with the help of a prior tenant, and to work out what might desire to get replaced, without making a "criticism" approximately your postman.

Probably not, postal workers are unionized and cannot be fired. Probably nothing happened to your complaint.

Lol, it is a highly protected government job in a beaurocracy, they would have a hard time being fired if they STOLE your mail.

What happens if they leave your outgoing mail in the box and throw your incoming on the ground next to the box?
