The Boston Red Sox are a great team. They are the 2004 and 2007 World Series Champions and the first team this decade to win two non consecutive World Series.

Every team has good and bad qualities. Although I'm a yankees fan, I live with alot of red Sox fans and I will admit they have some of the best young players, especially pitchers who I have ever seen.

Yeah. I think they'll finally start getting it together in 2002 or 2003. They'll probably make it to the ALCS against the Yankees in '03 and they might finally break the curse in '04, because that's when Schilling's a free agent. Hopefully Nomar can win the MVP next year and Pedro wins another Cy Young.

I think the question should be...Can the Red Sox get any better?...they just won the world series you know!

I hate to say this but the Sox are better than the Yankees. I'm a Yankees fan.

I think they're a pretty good team now. Stable lineup, where just about everyone can contribute in some way; a stocked farm system; exciting prospects in Lester, Buchholz, and Ellsbury; good fielding; and a bullpen that usually comes through. I think they are a good team if I do say so myself.

I think they have a shot...

But 1st, they gotta do a couple of things..

They gotta get rid of those old broken down, slow guys who can't move at all....Ramirez and Big Poopy especially...since the Sox like walks and taking pitches so much...maybe they can get Reggie Willits for 'em.

They need more dependable pitchers, none of those always injured guys....so guys like Papelboob, Beckett and Schilling gotta go...get some healthy guys..Carlos Silva, Brett Tomko...guys like that..

Next, a little veteran leadership...so get rid of Dirty Pedroia and maybe this Jacob Franken-bury CF'er and get some true leadership....you know...guys like Milton Bradley, Michael Barrett...maybe even Barry Bonds...I hear the Big Unit might be available too..

So, that oughtta do it....get rid of the old loafers, oft-injured pitchers, and trade away some prospects for some veteran leadership....then you'll have yourself a team.
