Yes it does. This is Big Brother kind of stuff, and you'll not see me ever buying a car w/ OnStar. Talk about a slippery slope.

As the U.S.A. becomes more and more of a police state, American citizens will see their rights and freedoms evaporate. George Orwell was right: "Big Brother" and the "thought police" are coming - Orwell was just a little ahead of his time. While it didn't all happen in 1984, we should expect to see these developments no later than 2084:
a) Microchips installed in every new baby's forehead with a government-issued I.D. number and complete data about the individual, its family and whereabouts;
b) Computer technology that will, indeed, be able to invade your most private thoughts as easily as the Internet comes into your home today;
c) GPS tracking of every vehicle;
d) Routine "house arrests" for political "dissenters" or anyone who disagrees with government policy;
e) Mind-altering drugs designed to "change" people's opinions or perspectives on political issues;
f) Inter-active communications between government officials and householders at any hour of the day or night, developed as 'scare tactics' to keep people 'in line'.
