I'm writing an essay about genetically modified food,I've already got the main positive & negative point, but I cannot connect them will together(because they are too many + & - points),any suggestion?

Take each positive and negative point and see how many are related to each other - I am sure that some of them are. Then write sentences making the connections and explaining these connections.

Then take each point and write a sentence or two with a "but" for that point. A previous poster gave you an excellent example of that.

What you may then have is a number of seemingly disconnected sentences. Group the sentences in a way that makes sense for paragraphing, so that each paragraph deals with a main idea. Add details to each paragraph.

When you have done all of that, review what you have, and most likely you will be well on the way to a good essay. Best of luck with it.

You can't just list pros and cons. You have to put them in context and compare.

For example:

Genetically modified foods can mean more productive harvests and better nutrition and income for farmers, but the risk is that we really don't know the long term impact on our health of eating these things. It is unclear how our bodies might react in the long term to genetic modfication.
