at my local pet store they sell XL anger fish and small angel fish, could i keep 1 or 2 small angels in with my guppies, neon tetras, amino shrimp and pepper corys? Some say angels will eat tetras, but i have seen them in tanks together, and if they grew up together would that help?

Mature Angels will not hesitate to snack on a school of small Tetras like Neons or Cardinals. Also, they are almost certain to nip your Guppies' fins. With the potential to grow 8 inches, Angelfish really need at least a 30 gallon tank with a lot of plants and other decorations to hide behind... If you want a fish similar to Angels that will leave your other fish alone, try to find a store that will order some Festivums for you. Though their colors are not as great as Angels' colors in the store, as they mature, they will develop beautiful earthy tones... Contact me if you have any questions.

EDIT: Growing up together will not factor in nearly as much as the "personality" of the particular fish... As Cichlids, Angels are naturally aggressive, and small fish are natural prey...

It's not a good idea to keep neons with Angels. There's a good chance the neons will be eaten. Possibly the guppies too. How big is your tank? Angels need lots of room, about 15 gallons per Angel.

Angels will do good with the corys.

If they grow up together then that will help it just depends on the fish itself. I have 2 55 gallon community tanks and they have many angelfish, cichlids, red-tailed sharks and danios and they all get along great they are big wonderful looking fish! They did grow up together.

well if you really want them get the small angel fish. my grandparents had them and they had other fish in the same tank with them. and one morning they woke up and they noticed that the other fish wernt there. the angel fish must of ate them. i wouldnt mix them. there semi-agressive. some can be mean and some can be nice. so thats what i know.
