Answer=D. (1643 in Dedham in the Mass Bay Colony which was originally a Puritan colony).

Rationalle:
A = would have to go to Henry Ford
B = most of our food were imported from other places. Little indigineous food is from the US
C= They were of the 'do as i do' philosophy. Heck, they kicked out Roger Williams, Anne Hutchinson, & who knows how ever many b/c they didn't comform to the Puritan majority ideals & values.

C - definitely.

That's why the Puritans came to the USA - freedom to worship as they wanted (although they didn't always extend that courtesy to others.)

Ooops - not so "definitely." Well, maybe I'm NOT smarter than a 5th grader.

The Puritans did not give us publicly-funded roads, health foods or freedom of worship, and were by far not the first to support publicly-funded education. All those innovations were begun in various parts of Europe well before the Puritans landed and profaned the shores of the North American continent...
