I went round to my sisters earlier and my niece had the music channel on. Nearly all of the videos were full of women with next to nothing on, shaking their bits everywhere. It's not as if this stuff is on late at night either, it's on in the middle of the afternoon when little children are watching. Not only that, this stuff is actually marketed towards teenage girls.
Before anyone says anything about me being an old prude, I am only 25 years old. I just believe in a little moral decency and this smut shouldn't be shown on daytime TV.
Am I alone in thinking that it is wrong to put this stuff on the telly, or am I just being a whingebag?

It's not just rap music, a lot of dance music, house music and pop have these videos too.

I walked in to my 4 -YEAR OLD stepdaughter singing that she was a ride that's smoother than a limosine and she can go all night. That's from the Rhianna song - I think she listens to a lot of music in the car with her mum but I wouldn't be happy if my daughter sang those songs. And it's not the kid's fault either! It is a bit much though and no I don't think you are being a whingebag. Even worse, she saw Beyonce on a music video shaking her bits and looked at me and said "I wish I could look like that". WTF??? She is 4!!!!

I agree, you see some videos where they're dressed a little more modestly and it looks so much better, those videos are for songs that you actually listen to because you're not distracted by someone gyrating around the screen in hotpants and a bra.
I'd also like to add, the band "hope" from x factor-the lead singer is what? 15?so the other girls will be around that age too. They had these girls dressed up in moulin rouge style costumes one week, consisting of hotpants, fishnets and corsets? What stylist in their right mind would put such young girls in such slutty clothes live on television??? I think it's sick that they were allowed to do that, anyone else agree?
I'm 17 years old, for the record.

All of these images have been sold to us as a bill of goods, and has desensitized many young people.

They think it is "normal".
Language, sarcasm, putting down males, sexual images, and homosexuality is the name of the game.

The only way it is going to stop it, or at least slow it down, is if people stop buying these items, do not go to movies , or watch TV shows, or video's/DVDs that contain this content; extreme violence, sex, and vulgar language.

Music, or movies, if the groups, or actors/writers had real talent they would not have to resort to this type of speech, or images to make a movie, write a script, or song.

The consumer/ especially the parents have much more power than they think; if we do not buy these product these performers/companies will get the message real quick.
Remember your child; the one without a job; has no buying power unless you give it to them.
And even if they have a job, it's your house, you set the boundaries.

I agree with you. I am 52 years old and thought that we were "pushing the envelope" when I was younger. Things are really out of hand nowdays.
How can people teach their young kids how to respect others when the videos are full of people who are acting so self indulgent and disrepectful towards others? It is really making the job of be a parent impossible.
As my old fshioned mom used to say,"They are going to hell in a hand basket."The any thing goes attitude is going to back fire soon.

Only rap videos have that kind of stuff, and as everyone subconsciously knows, rap is NOT music. Rock is the only music in this world worth listening to. Rock videos almost NEVER have that kind of stuff in them.

I totally agree, i put the music channel on, the other day to listen too, whilst i painted my front door. I realized that the videos contained alot of women prancing around. I switched it over to radio then.
