Umm - excuse me? We are currently witnessing the most violent rape of the U.S. Constitution and OUR Bill of Rights in the history of our great country. I'm a decorated vet (8 years U.S. Navy) and I took the Same oath to protect the United States and it's Constitution as the political leaders and appointees in Washington had to. So - two questions:
1 - why are they not subject to being charged with treasonous acts against the United States of America in wartime? (read: revealing the identity and/or location of an active U.S.
intelligence operative involved in covert activities inside or outside the US or it's territories during time of open or anticipated hostilities). I held a high level security clearance and if I had done that, I would have been court-martialed and COULD have been executed. So why was Libby's sentence
COMMUTED?
2 - Why do you guys let yourselves so easliy be misdirected? PLEASE PLEASE learn your history and learn to THINK FOR YOURSELF. Some backroom dirty trick squad member puts up a sound bite about "Heil Hillary" or some other BS and you dopes are all over it. Respect your country and take care of it or we will end up some 3rd world backwater and YOU won't have ANY rights.

Where did you get the crazy idea that liberals want to take away American freedoms? You should look for alternate news sources as you have been brainwashed by Fox news and Rush Limbaugh. Get out on the Internet, try Buzzflash.com for a change of pace.

Well, for one thing, Italy and France are not Communist countries.
My father fought for American Freedom in WWII and Korea.
The current conflict in Iraq has nothing to do with that kind of freedom.
Liberals don't hate freedom, they just have a different viewpoint of what freedom means.
Go back to your reading. You've got to open your mind up a bit and get rid of some inaccuracies.

It's not the liberals that put forward the patriot act, which is taking *away* all the freedoms.
To those who say the liberals are against freedom, how do you define Freedom, exactly?
The right to send an email without it being scanned for keywords and monitered?
The right to a phone conversation that is not monitered?
The right to freedom of speech?
The right to emergency surgery to save your life, if you need it?
Because it's the current administration who is taking away those rights.
"Freedom" has turned from a right, a concept - into a buzzword.
Don't argue anything the government does because... 9/11.
Fight the terrorists over there so we don't have to fight them here.
Etc.

Liberals are all for freedom. It's conservatives who want the government to be the Bedroom Police, who want to censor the Mass Media, and in general make this a Preacher State, who hate freedom. They should got to a nice, pious, God-fearing religious country like IRAN!

Wake up and spell the coffee. The partriot act, the war on drugs, probable cause right to search, confiscation of property without conviction, all the policies of conservatives. It is the repubs who are taking away your freedoms, starting with Raygun, and his creation of the new world order police state.

I agree. My grandfather fought to free the slaves and now many of the those descendants want to take the freedom away from us as well as their leaders.

Exactly well put. This is why I quit even being a Democrat. JFK would be so shocked to see how his party is today. JFK was a great President and had total different views. Even Ted Kennedy is a idiot. I feel is brother would be sick about that. The Democrats are hateful, and very selfish. They want to take our freedoms away from us and everything else we have from us. I truly believe that if Citizens would get together and demand a clean up on both parties. Right away. We voted for these nuts, we should be able to get them out of office. A few Rep. too. Can't make it sound like there are not bad apples on the other side of the fence. But fewer Republican's compared to pretty much all the Democrat senate. Only we the normal Citizens who vote them in. Can stand up and make a change.
