Thats just an abbreviation to set stronger Vicodin apart from other kinds, are they 10/660's? Because the weaker, and most standard dose of Vicodin is just plain Vicodin, the Extra strength (meaning more tylenol in it)is Vicodin ES, and the stronger Vicodin (10/660) is referred to as Vicodin HP. But they are all the same drugs, (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) just in different strengths.

Supposedly, ES is for Extra Strength and HP is for High Potency.

Regular has 5 mg of hydrocodone per tablet, ES has 7.5 mg and HP has 10 mg. The amounts of acetaminophen also vary.
