you must ask yourself what you already know about the 2. Why did the Pilgrims come here? Why was the Viriginia Company established? (hint: Company=money) If you can answer this question you can knock out one answer.

next, what do you know about Indians and Pilgrims? This should knock out another answer.

Now you have 2 answers left.
Look at the original manifest of Jamestown settlers at:
http://www.apva.org/history/orig.html
Do you see families listed?

Why did the Pilgrims have a thanksgiving? Because they had plenty? Or because they didn't have plenty then were blessed with food becuase they were friends with the indians? That should eliminate another answer.

you should be left with one answer now.

I could just give you the answer, but how, in the long run is that going to help you? You must learn to eliminate all the wrong answers on a standardized test or else you will have a hard time passing. As you can tell I am a teacher, so I believe in learning answers, not taking them.
