Servants are those who serve at houses of rich people preparing meals and doing housework. They can live with the family in the house or not and they are paid for doing the job.
Slaves were people who lived in the master's house to do housework and meals and all types of other jobs without being paid, but being hit, instead, by their masters.
Fortunately, only servants exist nowadays in the Western world.
