I don't know where you got the idea that a person with scizophrenia changes and forgets things. There are a variety of types of schizophrenia, including paranoid, etc.
A person with multi-personality disorder is not a person with schizophrenia. And this diagnosis is very, very rare.
Would I purposely want to fall in love with a person with any mental illness? NO, but if I fell in love and then found out the person had a mental illness I would not stop loving them.

schizophrenia is NOT the same as split personality....they don't just switch to a different characther, they experience psychotic episodes when they think they're being persecuted, and they truly believe it, this makes them scared and sometimes violent, some do her voices in their head, but they do NOT take on the voices and become a different person. When a schizophrenic is treated correctly with medicine and therapy, the can lead normal and happy lives.
I would NOT date one tho, I have one in my family already and they ARE a handful, too much work and stress for me.

Not sure really. Love is a strange thing, meaning that sometimes, you might make choices that you regret. Due to the person condition you will need to be very patient, otherwise you both may get hurt in the process.

This is a great question and not easy to answer.
One would have to be a esspecially resiliant as well as well educated in phychology to be able to tolerate a relationship with a schizophrenic personality, but I'm sure it happens everyday.
I have loved someone like that and I couldn't handle it.. I'll always love him,,,but I do not know how to deal with his problem.

I have a couple of schizoid friends.
We all hear about the killers, but most schizophrenics are what can only called "scaredy cats"............ completely non-violent and scared of their own shadows.
One of my friends is married to a schizophrenic. Her husband has been on medication for some 40 years to my knowledge. They have been married for most of that time and have 5 children and loads of grandchildren!

Since it wouldn't be their fault they had the condition, I would probably still love them, I mean, it's not their fault. People can't pick or control whohey love. I would just not date with them considering they would probably forget who I was, and for their sake, as well.

Hmm... I don't think I'd want to get tangled up in that sort of thing. It'd make ME crazy, probably. But there's no reasons to not be friends with him/her if they're a nice, interesting person!

Yes. No we wouldn't!! We would too!! I don't know. I'm beside myself.
Seriously tho, as with any mental/psychological disorder, follow your heart, but keep your brain engaged, and stay near the exit!

Probably not.
Life is stressful enough and I have my own issues.
And if this were my son asking the question I'd have to be honest: I'd ask him if he really needed this girl's problems.
