You're suppose to feed newborn fry about 4-6 times a day
And as long as you crush up your pellets to very fine powder, they will be able to eat it
or
you can buy First Bites, which is already a very fine powder to feed them
But be very careful on how much you put in, because they don't eat a lot
After about 2 weeks, you can start feeding them with flakes, but you also need to break it up a bit, that it's easier to feed them, but not to powder any more then.
Any leftover food can be taken off with a piece of papertowel after about 10 minutes from the water surface
Hope that helps
Good luck

I have a ten gallon tank, but I used to have a three when my guppies first had babies. First of all, having one male and one female isn't healthy for the fish. Try to get about two or three females for one male. Second of all, do you have any plants or fixtures in your tank? My babies always hide in the plants, and there have been three each time. What do you mean by "nursery doesn't fish?" For myself, I usually take out the big fish for a few minutes and put them into a cup or vase. (Make sure you cover these- the first time I had babies, a fish jumped out and I found it the next morning. Gross.) I then put the babies into a nursery with a little bit of plant- baby guppies like to hide. I feed them very, very small amounts of fish food. I'm not sure if that's what you're supposed to feed them, but I do, and my fish do well. After a month or two let the fishes back into the main tank.

Feeding frequency would depend on water change frequency, clean water is the most important growth factor. You can feed once, twice or more per day, just be sure to siphon out the left-overs at day's end. It doesn't have to be a big water change, just enough to clean out the food and"stuff".
The replacement water should be de-chlorinated before adding it to the tank, and the temperature should match very closely.
A small air driven sponge filter powered by a gentle flow of bubbles will make tank hygiene easier, and as it seasons(cycles) the fry will"graze" on the surface. Then keep the filter cycled for the next batch of fry,it will help the growth rate in future generations.

The food is fine and you should feed them 4-6 times each day, when color shows cut down. They empty their stomaches every twenty minutes(don't feed them every twenty minutes :P). Try some first bites food, it is way better than the food that you are stuck with. This food will make them grow a lot faster. If you get into breeding like I am, then get a brine shrimp hatchery to get bbs for them to eat.

Once a day is fine, and yes just ground up your fish food to a powder. It is fun the first couple times but watch out there like rabbits.

Their food should be fine. But I'm not sure how often to feed them. Try every day for, like, three days. But if the water gets cloudy, switch to every other day. Cloudy water can kill fish. I'd look online for further info, or ask a veterinarian.
