Try calling the public health department in your city or county and ask them about free or low cost clinics in your area. They sometimes have dental clinics and health clinics. If you have a regular dentist and explain the situation, he might agree to let you make payments (even though they usually don't). Also sometimes universities have dental clinics with reduced rates sometimes.

For medicine, a lot of antibiotics are $4 at some stores like Meijers or Walmart...also try Montel's http://www.pparx.org for them to set you up with drug manufacturers who give free or low cost meds.

For food and other assistance, call 211 to get set up with first link and the food bank and heating/cooling bills help.

Also for food you could try to apply for food stamps (a different program...can do both) at the county jobs and family services office near you..

You can go to your county clinic, but it can take hours to get the prescription filled. The county dentistry clinic has a more than a 6 month wait list. Do you live near a dentistry college? They tend to do procedures for extremely cheap or free. They generally use amoxicillin for dental procedures, and that is inexpensive.
You can try to appeal the medicaid ruling or ask if she is elgible for a spend down program.
