If i have so many bad experiences with my fellow Fil. should I even bother answering here at YA Phil. section?

I can't help but to bring out my sentiments,no matter how i try to always think good things about us..obviously,it is justified by all the thumbs down i keep getting..
I can't change the way they see me(snob me, giving me dirty looks, and snob over and over again while i give out my best smile- ), it has become a part of dailiness of my life...

I meant my sentiments(through my answers) are justified by the thumbs down i keep getting..

In other words, to Papa Chuck, it means, i may be giving out a lot of negative opinions(in the view of others), which i can't help because of my burning sentiments, as a result, i get thumbs down in return..

The question is clearly stated as is..The question is is literally addressed, and is, literally talking about me, so i'd say freedom of choice and speech must prevail.. I never said anything about rudeness, alas, it was you who voluntarily interpreted my question, and the explaining details in your own words..i must agree with you though, with your interpretation...that is the thought i was trying to point across and you justified it..

What the? What's with the question? This really ain't the way to cope up with the mistreatment you received. Leave your dismay to those people, not with the race as a whole..

Just my thought, this may sound rude, but this isn't the place to blabber about it.. You can always choose not answer to here if you really feel that bad about us. But just so you know, nobody is rejecting anybody here, this is YA Phil., not Yahoo!A we-are-rude-people section.

Y/A is a big place and if you feel Philosophy is your forte, you can concentrate there, or in any other category.

However, we are an international nation, the first international nation ( if I remember right one Question claiming us to be), and in those categories, how sure are you the ones giving you brilliant answers are not your own people? On the other hand, How can you be sure those T/Ds are from Filipinos?

One thing I can say about our countrymen. We love our own.

Though YAP be only a drop in the ocean of this international fora, with lots and lots of categories, this is OUR place, this is OUR own. DULCE es las horas ..... SWEET are the hours, in one's native land, as the song goes.

like what the rest said... TDs don't always necessarily mean what they are.infact..i believe also that they don't mean anything other than someone out there just likes to give TDs without minding whats the content of either the question, the answer or both.

give it a shrug!! continue to answer & your points rises up amidst the TD...so why bother? supported by papa chuck that only level 1s are eliminated ...mmm.. happy to know that.

Your question somewhat confuses me. Part of your question "obviously,it is justified by all the thumbs down i keep getting.." I have perused some of your answers in YAP and it is my observation that your TD's are no more than anybody else and, in fact, can be deemed to be a lot less. One or two TD's shouldn't be of any concern to anybody. No one knows who is doing all these TD's (only level one people can be eliminated).
You may give out your 'best smile' but if you have an aloof manner about yourself or if people sense that the smile is 'plastic' then yes, you would possibly be seen as a snob.
Perhaps it is time to have a good look at oneself.

Don't let the TDs get you down to the exhilaration of that somebody who is doing all these TDs thing in YAP. Ignore the rascal, don't give him/her the satisfaction of knowing you are discouraged and ready to give up. The only way to fight back is to keep on posting and answering Qs.

Please be careful with your vocabulary because you seem to be contradicting yourself. Example: "I meant my sentiment (through my answers) are justified by the thumbs down I keep getting." This sentence is confusing.

Also your sentence: "I can't change the way they see me and snob me..........." Your objective is to try to answer questions on YAP as best you can and influence as many people as you can. But you can't please everybody so don't even try.

I am hoping the majority would continue to present an
objective and positive spin about the Philippines and Filipino people. Complaining about others is counter productive.

Please remember that non-Filipinos may be stopping by YAP and reading our posts. So let's all stay positive.

here in this section the TDs don't mean anything. it has nothing to do with your answers at all. i've read somewhere that this section is often visited by TD bandits (i think they are called gremlins) and the regular users have opted to simply ignore them. so if your only reason to leave are those nasty TDs, don't! those are not coming from us, your kababayan (fellowmen).

in the real world, however, it's a different story. if you feel like you're not well-received by our kababayan, maybe it's just a case of mixed signals. maybe they think you're not friendly enough or vice-versa. if i were in your shoes, i'd just smile my way through their hearts. if they like me, fine....if not, i'd live.

Its more easy to remeber the bad things people say than it is to remeber the good things they say.

But dont take the things in here to personal.
there are to many dumb people in the world to let the dumb ones bring you down.

Just continue answering the questions sincerely. TD' or TU's should not stop you from answering or posting questions here. If you answered a question in the best of your ability, so be it.
