It's a mix for me.
I hate money being spent on me and I hate getting gifts so I dread that part of it. But I love giving gifts and I don't mind going shopping and spending money if it's for the other people.
I think God would not want us to be burdened about spending money. Just worship HIM for sending Christ!!!!!!!!!!!
And look to the birds of the air. They do not sow or reap yet God sees to every need they have. And look to the lilies of the field.... not even Solomon in all his splendor was clothed like one of these!!
Give it over to God, He'll make sure you have a perfect Christmas if you just let it go and worship him!

I enjoy spending obscene amounts of money on a good time for myself and my friends. I need very little in the way of an excuse. From now to New Year's Day is party-time! Christmas just happens to occur during the same period--a period I like to call "Capitalist Greed Days!"

I do enjoy it by not letting myself go over budget. I think that's the key to enjoying it so you don't spend the next year fretting how to pay for the last Christmas and worry over going in debt for the next.

Christmas isn't the cost, it's the feeling and the belief and worship. That does not cost a thing.
Christmas is what we make it, or what we spend I guess.
I buy presents, but never thought that I HAD to. lol
