Because it had a belisha "beacon" (beak on).
That´s an old Chicken crossed the road joke from the 1950´s. A belisha beacon was an orange flashing globe at the side of a zebra crossing in the UK.
That´s why the chicken crossed the road......because it had a belisha beacon.

The chicken crossed the road because that's where a Chik Fil A was & he wanted to see if the chicken was as good as everyone says it is.
