Depends on how big a spot.
If it is a small containable spot..... push the fiber not damaged away, put some tape to hold them safe. (TEST THE POLISH REMOVER ON A SMALL SPOT ALONG THE WALL OR IN THE CLOSET AND SEE IF IT TAKES OUT THE CARPET COLOR, OR IT MELTS THE CARPET FIBERS) If it appears to be safe to use, use the remover to get up as much as you can,use lots of paper towels and keep working the remover. It should get out all of the paint.
NOTE; If the SPOT IS SMALL, and you do not get it up to suit you. You can isolate the spot and clip out the damaged area with scissors. Then go against the wall or in a closet and isolate approximately the same amount of fibers (now this is tricky) Pinch up the fibers clip them off at the base (DON'T DROP THEM). Take them to the removed spot and using glue, put them in the place of the painted spot you removed. Let dry and then see if top needs to be trimmed to match nearby carpet level.
If the spot IS A BIG SPOT. It will need to be taken out with a sharp razor blade. Find a spot in the closet and take up a spot the same size and put it in the removed spot> You can slide carpet tape under the hole so that the new spot is replace and held by the tape and you can ad some glue. But be careful you don't get glue all over the carpet.
WD40 is great for removing strainge things, and it's worth a try.

it relatively is no longer reliable. Nail polish is with reference to the sole element i've got no longer been in a position to get out of carpet. ward off attempting nail polish remover, as this might disolve the carpet. you could attempt Tech Spot Remover, yet do no longer anticipate it. nevertheless, Tech's bumped off motor oil, ink, grease, cat vomit, and bunny urine from distinctive carpet types and colorations around our abode. Failing that, placed a plant over the stain if it relatively is no longer in a site visitors area.
