hi im 21 weeks tommorow and was wondering what causes still born

Hi. Stillbirth can be caused by lots of things, here are some examples. Obstetric cholestasis, placental abruption, placental insufficiency, an undetected abnormality in the baby that means it is incompatable with life, knots in the umbilical cord that restrict oxygen flow and lots of other things. Some babies are born still and we will never know why. The important thing to remember is that all of these things are very rare. Keep yourself fit and healthy, keep an awareness of your baby's movements when these become pronounced and talk to your midwife about any worries you have.
