I think Blackwater and the Jackbooted Republicans should close that place down before it spreads to other parts of America.

What if everyone thought like that? Helping those who are ill and can not self medicate like Rush told us to do.

Republicans love healthcare, watch how fast they'd kill any bill eliminating their taxpayer funded healthplans.

They will no doubt remind you they aren't against private charity. That's not the same as a government program. I have to agree with them though for very different reasons.

Private charities are not a good alternative for social programs because they are often ideologically based which means those who need them are less free than those who don't. I believe poor people should also have equal civil rights and liberties and when you rely on private charities to take care of the poor and poor sick that's a problem. They help the people by giving them food or medical aid but usually also feed them a religion or ideology. Of course the poor are free to not accept that religion in theory but when you are dying to eat I don't think it can be expected of anyone to stand their ideological ground when the only thing standing between you and a good meal is accepting Jesus or any other religion.

That's why I and the real left in general doesn't see private charity as an alternative for social programs. We believe we're in this together and we're not better than the poor and that's the reason we all as a whole have a responsibility not out of charity but out of shared humanity.

I believe it was Al Gore III who was arrested recently on several self medications and using up his daddys carbon credits by driving 100mph.

This proves the gap in intelligence between libs and cons.

St Judes is funded by private donors not the government.

That means St Judes staying open is saving America from socialism.

That hospital functions quite well under this philosophy:

"We have rights, as individuals, to give as much of our own money as we please to charity; but as members of Congress we have no right so to appropriate a dollar of public money."

That hasnt got anything to do with health care. They are self funded and rely on no government assistance. Health care would bankrupt this country.
