are you ever jealous that right handed people can write without smudging the ink on the page?

Well, I am 10% of the world population that are Ambidextrous i.e. I can write left and right handed among other things. I've noticed I can do more things easier in my right hand than left because of computer keyboards, knives, knitting etc but using right handed scissors is not a problem as I've managed to train myself and now find easier in left hand. The trick to doing things in your other hand is to mirror the right (or left) hand. That's the easiest thing.

When I write a note people find it hard to notice which hand I wrote in but there are small differences. Even I look at something after a while and can't tell.

There are also left handed things that right handed people have difficulty in doing.

Being ambidextrous really comes in handy especially as there are things easier to do in each hand. Like as a female, I can easily perfect my make-up, my hair and other feminine things.

I can even paint, do DIY in both. I've been ambidextrous since the age of 5 (22 years) so its second nature and not so difficult for me. Also when using a knife and fork, eating crisps I'm a lefty but cooking and washing dishes, I'm a rightey but it also depends on which side the sink is on!

I usually revert to whichever hand makes things the easiest i.e. which side my PC is on, the type of desk, where my pad is to determine if I'm going to be mostly left or right handed at that time.

Strange, I know but I love this unique quality!

Lefties FTW :)

I just finished writing a paper in my binder. I hate how the binding hurts my wrist when I write and how I smudge all the time. xD

And Sebastian I don't have to use my left hand on the mouse when using Adobe photoshop. Weird, huh? xD

200 lefties die every year from products that are intended for righties.

I think we should do something about that! :)

Yes, I'm also jealous that they can draw a picture and not have the pencil all smudged along the edges and use scissors with ease.

Edit: Righties can also use their mouse to draw in MS Paint and cut out an image with the image wand in Photoshop without having to carefully guide the mouse with their left hand. And don't try to tell me 'switching the mouse buttons around to use a left handed mouse' works either, it doesn't.

Yay! Lefties UNITE :)

I don't smudge the ink when I write and I'm left handed.

I'm a bit ambi too. Sports with my right and detailed things like writing with my left.

LEFT POWER!

LOL

I'm more jealous that they can write comfortably on folders where the binder is in the middle; and chairs with a fold away desk, where there are none provided for the lefties.

I always came home from school with the bottom side of my left hand covered in different colored inks. Sucked. I've learned to write since then so that doesn't happen.

:o)

I sometime get jealous about the right handed people, but it's more fun to be different from most people. They should make more stuff for left handed people

I am right handed, but can I be an honorary leftie, as my brother, grandfather and father are all left handed. So, believe it or not is everyone of my ex boyfriends and best of all, my fiance! Strange but true.

Not jealous, just annoyed when it happens & especially in school when I had to do algebra with a pencil & half of my work disappeared because of the smudging.
