Maybe, but the tryptophan myth is a little more complicated than it appears.

While it's true that the body uses tryptophan to produce serotonin which induces a feeling of well being and relaxation, it's really the carbs you eat with the turkey that makes you sleepy.

Your body reacts to carbs by releasing insulin which also affects other amino acids. this gives the tryptophan free reign to produce serotonin, and thus make you sleepy. The tukey alone would have a much less intense effect.

No, but the stuff ought to be made into something smokable! Isn't it just the best. There's no nap like a post turkey dinner nap!

I cannot believe how good I slept last nite...I didn't even move...lol...turkey is a very good sleeping pill...lol
