what tyoe of training do you need to become a first grade teacher?

I finally realized that i wanted to become a teacher but i want to know what trainings or what kind of schooling should i take for this

4 year college degree in elementary education, plus pass the teachers' certificate exam for your state.

This depends on the state you want to teach in or where you live. check your states department of education website to get more info. You'll most likely have to get some form of higher veducation, take state mandated tests, get finger printed and then you'll be able to get an initial certification.
