I know who and what you are talking about unlike some others who need to get their head out of the sand and exclaim "What are you talking about?"
I'm betting that they already have a list made of the ones that are to be ignored by the media etc... The ones like Paul, Kucinick, Gravel, and Edwards who also speaks out against corporate America.
They would be watched under a microscope and as soon as they make a move that would really do some damage the plans would be set in motion to take them out.

Times have changed. They'd manipulate public opinion against him or her before he ever got into office. If by a miracle what you say would happen they would bribe and if that failed coerce him or her. If he or she was a true hero and could resist all that maybe there was a chance for true change. I don't think it's that easy anymore as in the past to assassinate Presidents. Maybe he or she would get very sick all of a sudden. The elite doesn't stand still either, they know assassinations raise questions .
However I don't believe in hero's and I don't believe in fairy tales

ron paul would be killed within 2 years, my guess. especially if he goes after the same group that kennedy went after, the federal reserve. also the cia, irs, department of homeland security, there is quite alot of people in any of these groups paul wants to disband that are capable and willing to kill him. even probably able to make it look accidental.

may God bless ron paul

my guess is that they would rig the elections before they allow it to get to that point. i would think they would rather get caught rigging elections that assassinating a popular president. the people are waking up and any sort of violence or attack in the US, the government will be the first place people will point fingers at. if terrorism was real, our borders would be secure since 9/12. come on.

They got rid of John Kennedy within 3 years. Bobby Kennedy never got past the primaries. I don't think they would let a "rogue" candidate get anywhere near the presidency now.

What are you talking about?

One of the foundations of our country that has remained largely intact is the stability of it. Any group setting about to assassinate a President or other high office holder in our nation can and will be punished.

I can only guess that you are implying that the entire government is run by business, which is a gross mistake. Is the government in many ways heavily influenced by business? Oh yes, but not controlled by it.

A real simple way to show it is by looking at the implementation of Sarbanes-Oxley, post-Enron. SOX has been a HUGE pain to business, requiring all major companies to create huge amounts of information and checks, most of which are not evaluated.

The government is owned by no one.

Hopefully they would not resort to that tactic again. If they didn't, it would not be because they suddenly developed a conscience, but rather because they would know that if they do it again, too many of us would be on to them. Instead, I think that they would try to ruin his or her reputation, and make him look like a fool or a criminal. That is the tactic they used...apparently very successfully...on Carter. *sm*

You mean like a company that was a war profiteer? You mean like a company that a VP of the US had worked for? That makes it sound like such a company was really like a terrorist organization.
