First, if they say it is new and sealed in the box then yes it has to be true. If you ever receive something from eBay that is not as described and paid with PayPal, you can return the product and get a refund as well as leave feedback to warn other buyers. As far as where or how people get items there are several ways. Some people with larger businesses buy bulk items either directly from manufacturers or clearance companies. Many new items may have been gifts for family or friends that they either did not want or were age inappropriate, etc. Especially if they were given to the eBay seller they can sell it cheap. Please also realize that even though it is cheap now the last hour of bidding is always the busiest and people swoop in in the last few seconds [literally] and get them. If it is something you really want, go ahead and bid, just be there in the end and watch the rising bids and give yourself a limit on your maximum bid. As a homeschooler, I buy ALOT on eBay so I hope my information is helpful as I'm getting pretty good at it. Always check the sellers feedback and read the whole ad before bidding as well. Others feedback will help you ensure you are buying from a reputable seller. Best of luck! Happy bidding!

Could be a counterfit. Check what the price is over on Amazon.com first.
