I cant remember why. It's 4.15 and the moon is out and so is the sun. It's been like that all day and it's a full moon but yet a blue sky.

Why is the moon out and where will it go tonight ;-)?!

The full Moon and the Sun can never appear at the same time in the sky, because in order for the Moon to be "full", it has to be on the opposite side of the Earth from the Sun.

However, the "almost full" Moon will rise before sunset and may be visible, depending upon how clear the sky is (free of high clouds and haze). The "just past full" Moon will set after the Sun rises and may be seen in the west as the Sun rises in the east.

The moon is obviously bright in the night sky. It has the same brightness during the day and though it doesn't stand out because the sun is so much brighter, you can often see the moon during the daytime from about the time of the "first quarter" Moon to about the time of the "last quarter" Moon. Before first quarter and after last quarter, the Moon is generally too close to the Sun in the daylight sky to be seen (without binoculars or a telescope-CAUTION: I ADVISE AGAINST THE USE OF BINOCULARS OR TELESCOPES TO SEE A DAYLIGHT "MOON" CLOSE TO THE SUN SINCE THIS CAN BE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TO EYESIGHT (accidentally looking at the Sun can burn the retinas of your eyes and blind you).

Although both are in the sky at in the late afternoon, the Moon only rose at 2:45 p.m. You're mistaken about it being there all day. The Sun actually set at 4:02 p.m., so your time is wrong.
