Yes, I was younger ( I graduated from high school in 1996), life was less complicated, I didn't have to worry about having a job, maintaining my relationship with my boyfriend, paying bills, etc.
Plus, "9-11" hadn't yet happened, I felt safe. In the 1990s, say the phrase 9-11, and people would think of the TV show, Rescue 911. Now its forever a dark day in American history.
The 1990s were not all good, Kurt Kobain killed himself, Tupac and Biggie were murdered. Freddy Mercury died of AIDS. My grandparents died.
But I'd rather go back in time and relive the 1990s rather than relive 2000 to now.

The 90's were such a great decade. When you put it up against the current decade known as the 2000's, It's obvious that the 90's is better.
.

1. The number one reason would probably be what most 90's people talk about. Nickelodeon! In the 90's, you had Rugrats, Double Dare, GUTS, Pete & Pete, Legends of the Hidden Temple, Nick Arcade, Rocko's Modern Life, Doug, etc. I nearly cry when I turn the TV onto Nick today. Ever since at least 1998, Nick has been going down a bottomless pit of doom.

2. Music had a better variety. Rap was popular in the 90's, but it wasn't that popular because the 90's consisted of variety like rock, metal, reggae, etc.

3. Video games were a lot funner. Remember the Sega Genesis, SNES, N64, and Saturn?

4. The world wasn't infested with war. In the 90's, you felt safer riding on an airplane or visiting New York.

5. Back in the 90's, television wasn't infested with reality TV. The most "real" TV was America's Funniest Home Videos and Cops. Now, whenever you turn the TV on, there's nothing on but American Idol.

Definitley.

*George Bush wasn't president
*We weren't involved in an illegal war that is unwinnable and that is killing thousands of people
*We had an honest President (Yeah, yeah, I know - but that's between him and Hillary - none of our business)
*We ended the decade with a balanced budget and a surplus.
*Our leaders were completely dedicated to the Constitution and Bill of Rights.
*Gas was cheap
*We could actually trust most of Congress to do the right thing....until the neo-Cons started their little religious dances.

The '90's were sooo much better. The stock market was doing so well that sometimes I made more money there than I did at work!

the nineties was better because human beings had substance and culture then. now its all about manufactured bands and obscene consumerism and status jocking and broken down community cohesion because of the internet. yup, this decade pretty much sucks mule dung

The US dollar was woth something in the 90's. President Bush (the one now) wasn't making policy and screwing up the economy.
