By the time of the American Revolution many of these problems had been overcome. An infrastructure was already being developed, a social structure and governance system was in place, the economy was developing too.

By the above, you should realize that these systems had to be developed for the 'colony' to develop into a new country.

The people leading the revolution would have to come up with a government and constitution. The economy would also be an issue. Slavery in the South and industry in the North would eventually collide. Where would the dividing line be? Problems arouse between the Federalists and Democratic-Republicans based on nearly every political issue. Would there be a national religion? To what extent would politics be separated from religion. Would the United States support France or Britain? How much power would the federal government and state governments have?
