Gave up the idea of candles and cakes years ago. On my birthday I usually go out for a meal with my favourite folk or like this year invite my favourite folk here to my place. A good yarn with grown-up ppl is the best present you can have.

I feel like I fell asleep at 36 and just woke up - truly. Life is so busy when we are "bulding up" that it feels like a quick dream...now that i will be 5 numbers less than the old interstate speed limit in January. I will never speak those numbers together. I think 35, I act 35 but I walk 59.
Happy holiday weekend.

If I had a cake and put candles on it the poor thing would look like a porcupine, no candles! Cheers!

We have an unwritten rule in our family..... no more than 10 candles for anyone. The youngest family member is 25 years old.
